My name is ______. I am writing my campus placement experience here. I am studying in "Oriental Institute of Science and Technology, Bhopal ". TCS visited in our college on 2nd September 2014 for 2015 batch. More than 530 students were eligible for campus. 286 were shortlisted for interview. Finally, 208 were selected. And I was one of them. There are two rounds:

       1) Written Test ( Aptitude Test + Email Writing)

       2) Interview (Technical and HR interview)

a) Written Test Experience

Our college is in B grade. Students who have 75% in 10th and 12th And 76% in BE. They conduct only email writing test. In my case Email writing question is following :

Question is : "You are a student. You have to write an email to your Head of Department to conduct training on Informatica."

Related key words given are :  New Technology - useful - placement prospects - training - important. There were 10 total keywords.

b) Interview Experience

Questions Asked in Technical and HR interview

     1)  Tell me something about yourself?

     2)  About Family Background?

     3)  Asked 4-5 questions about my brother ( because my brother is working in TCS).

     4)  Tagline of TCS and its meaning?

     5)  Name of Database which are RDBMS except ORACLE?

     6)  What is Join?
 
     7)  Name of versions of Windows 7 ?

     8)  Which type of books do you read?

     9)  Write a program to check whether the no . is palindrome or not in 30 seconds?

   10)  Speak something about Indian politics for 60 minutes? ( but he interrupt me after 3 -4 minutes   and asked other questions related to politics?

   11)  Are you willing to relocate?

   12)  Do you want to ask any questions?

   13)  What is your hobby? and many other questions.

My suggestion is that don't lose your  confidence. Interviewer was trying to put pressure on me.
